Making a timeless impact with Project Forest

Making a timeless impact with Project Forest

It started on a cold morning, at a meeting neither Mike Toffan, nor I would ever forget. Unforgettable not only because he spilled a coffee on himself immediately prior to us meeting, but because I was compelled by the prospect of making a tangible impact with our watches.

With a safely contained, fresh coffees later that year, we met and discussed 'small things' that an independent company like RZE can achieve. Starting with patches, emblems of trees being planted, what started as an Earth Month initiative steadily grew into something far more significant: measurable sustainability goals, long-term commitments, and direct contributions to reforestation efforts. Entering the third year of our partnership with Project Forest, we've helped plant thousands of trees; a direct result of your purchases of the Project Forest Patch or Special Edition Project Forest Spruce Green Resolute.

Over the past few years, we’ve continued to evolve our sustainability mission: reducing packaging waste, improving logistics, and building product circularity into our process. It’s proof that NOTHING IS POSSIBLE when intention meets action. Together, we can make decisions that respect the land, reduce waste, and lessen our impact on the planet.

While I didn't expect my coffees with Mike to evolve into drive-thru coffees, fuelling 4.5 hour drives to plant some of those trees at Siksika Nation, these moments are the most impactful. The trees we planted that day represented patches worn and watches chosen by adventurers around the world. We can measure the distance driven and the hours spent. But the impact of those trees? Timeless; growing, sheltering, and restoring for generations to come.

Our team is proud to continue to be a partner for the Project Forest Siksika Nation Community Shelterbelt Program. We're dedicated to continue to grow our impact with Project Forests' mission, allowing adventurers everywhere to share a story of restoration, knowing that their decisions have helped rewild Canada.
